She also holds a Certification in Family and Consumer Sciences from The American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences. She serves as the Director of the Homemaking Program at the College at Southwestern. Dr. Ennis has authored several words, including Precious in the Sight of God, The Art of Becoming a Godly Woman, Practicing Hospitality, The Joy of Serving Others (with Lisa Tatlock), and Becoming a Young Woman Who Pleases God, A Teen’s Guide to Developing Her Biblical Potential.
Dr. Ennis has lived through the tragedy of losing both of her parents in her early adulthood. But the challenge of “being an unmarried orphan with no earthly family,” has shown her how God provides in the middle of heartache. “As I accepted this as my gracious heavenly Father’s best for me and learned the freedom of being able to serve Him without obstruction, I flourished in the knowledge that the Lord is a sun and a shield. He gives grace and glory and there is no good thing that He will withhold from me if I am walking uprightly (Psalm 84:11).”
