Hey Moms – Got 8 Minutes? Listen to This!
Katie McCoy, March 14, 2014
I stumbled upon this and just had to share it with you! If you’ve got 8 minutes, listen to this: It’s Dorothy Patterson’s 2012 Plenary Speech at the World Congress of Families in Madrid, Spain.
I think my favorite quote is: “As a mother I have found fulfillment in denying myself on some occasions and preparing the people I can’t live without to live without me.” Awesome, right? Definitely reminds me of my mom and the sacrifices she made for me and my brother.
Do you feel like what Mrs. Patterson describes? That being a mom is looked down upon even by your peers as not enough of a life?
For more from Mrs. Patterson, check out her “Dear Dottie” column!
