Light and Life To All He Brings! An Advent Scripture Reading
Biblical Woman, November 30, 2017

Join us this Advent season as we celebrate the coming of Christ with The Jesse Tree. This beloved tradition dates back to the Medieval period, and anticipates the birth of Jesus by tracing the story of redemption from Creation to Christmas.
The Jesse Tree refers to the prophesy in Isaiah, foretelling that a Branch would comes from the line of Jesse, the father of King David (11:1). From the earliest chapters of human history, the Lord has been faithful to and full of mercy for those whom He created to know and worship Him. His plan to redeem us never faltered nor failed.
The 25-day Scripture readings are accompanied by an ornament depicting the story of that day’s Advent reading. The photos you’ll see on Biblical Woman’s Jesse Tree series come from the family ornaments belonging to our editor, Katie McCoy. You, too, can start this meaningful family tradition. (See below for ideas on creating your own Jesse Tree ornaments.)
This Advent season, it is our joy to celebrate our Savior and Messiah with you! We pray these Scripture readings will stir your soul to awe and wonder at the majesty, power, glory, and goodness of the Lord Jesus, our Immanuel.
